5. Virtual, Adaptive Trainer (ONR Proposal), April 2006
SA has submitted a proposal to develop virtual environment technologies for enhancing the cultural awareness training currently available to warfighters. The objectives are to a) reduce the cost and time burdens of live cultural training by identifying tasks and functions that can be performed in a virtual environment; and b) increase the realism, dynamism and flexibility of existing computer-based training tools and provide virtual environment scenarios that reflect the complexities of post-conflict operations, peace-keeping, and conflict resolution.
