SA served as part of a U.S. government team evaluating the capability of computational social science models to anticipate state and regional instability and facilitate the analysis of alternative courses of action for avoiding or mitigating crises. SA's role included liaison with Combatant Commanders; helping the government client define program objectives; evaluating model integrity; and assessing the extent to which models would meet the real-world requirements of the intended user community.
